Bangalore Bouldering Championship ( BBC ) was held at Jyothi Nivas college campus ,Koramangala,Bangalore on the 19th of January 2009.BBC is the most extravagant, stylish and competitive Sport Climbing Competition ever to take shape in INDIA !!Great Success!! the first edition went of without any hassles as expected and was a rocking success. By the time the competition began the crowd was already in high sprits with bands’ like Catalyst and Synapse keeping them entertained, and there was no stopping them from the time the first climber came started till the last climber finished . The crowd went Hysterical seeing some of the climber’s solving the problems especially route 3, most of them witnessing Sport Climbing for the first time in their life’s. Watch out for the second edition which will be in early 2010. It promises to be bigger and better than the first edition. Typically bouldering is a more high impact style of climbing Powerfull ,Aggressive and Dynamic . A bouldering competition is characterized by short routes and high strength moves. Bouldering is typically defined as climbing without the use of ropes The competition is part of the golden jubilee celebration of the Indian Mountaineering foundation ,the apex body for climbing and mountaineering in The event is an invitational climbing competition ,top ranked climbers from all over the country are invited to participate in the event .
